Following the release of our Twitter & UK Politics report earlier this year, Tweetminster is today publishing data and analysis around gender and Prospective Parliamentary Candidates.

We looked at data from 285 PPCs on Twitter and gender breakdown across parties and regions. While the Labour party is slightly more representative and the Conservatives more evenly distributed in terms of representation, all three major parties have a very similar overall gender breakdown on Twitter.

All data for this analysis encompasses all MPs and PPCs followed by Tweetminster up to February 26th 2010.
